Have you ever thought about what happens when a raindrop hits a leaf?
On the 10th February 2025, the UWA Data Institute and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics hosted a free public guest lecture by Dr. Sunghwan (Sunny) Jung as part of the ANZIAM 2025 Lecture Tour.
Dr. Jung is a Professor in the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University, and his lecture “Transport Mechanism Induced by Raindrop Impact” explored the interaction between the raindrop and leaf along with the scientific questions and practical applications this raises.
