We use computational analysis of DNA and RNA sequence data to infer hypotheses about biological processes and relationships. We use machine-learning to predict structures and functions of genes and proteins, including synthetic designs modelled on natural macromolecules. Examples of applications include designing future plants for controlled environment agriculture in Space (or on Earth in urban or remote settings) and using DNA sequence data to identify plants and animals from environmental samples.
