The UWA Data Institute Research Awards celebrate outstanding researchers and PhD candidates who are advancing data science, statistics, machine learning and artificial intelligence across all disciplines at UWA.

Established to recognise excellence in data-driven research, the Awards acknowledge achievements at every career stage, from PhD candidate through to senior researcher – while providing a pathway to the UWA Research and Vice-Chancellor’s Awards.

Congratulations to our inaugural 2026 award recipients, whose innovative research is helping to drive discovery, collaboration and real-world impact across a diverse range of fields.
